Professional jewellery remodelling & updating

We all have jewellery laying around our homes…

Inherited pieces, broken chains or earrings, rings which are missing diamonds, or are too big or too small.

While you may not be wearing this jewellery, it means the world to you and you might be wondering what options there are…

What can be done with heirloom or un-worn jewellery?

Our bespoke remodelling service specialises in re-working, re-using or ‘up-cycling’ your sentimental pieces into jewellery which suits your individual style.

We have 40 years of experience in creating re-imagined jewellery, and our team have worked on a variety of projects for our clients ranging from engagement and wedding remodels to anniversary pieces with rubies, diamonds & sapphires.

What are the benefits to re-purposing your old jewellery?

Firstly, and certainly the most important reason for many of our clients, is the huge sentimental value that jewellery carries. More often than not, when a client brings jewellery to us, it is either inherited, gifted from a loved one, or was purchased to mark a special milestone. This means that discarding or buying a replacement, simply isn’t an option.

This leads us to the environmental benefit of re-modelling jewellery. Re-using material will always have less environmental impact than sourcing new. Using existing diamonds and old gold, is the best choice if you are hoping to minimise your carbon footprint when considering a jewellery project.

When we do need to use new gold for a bespoke commission, we use 100% recycled material gold or platinum. If you hope to include new diamonds in your piece, we only source our stones from reputable suppliers in the jewellery industry, who will ensure the diamonds adhere to the Kimberley process- a system which prevents conflict diamonds from entering the mainstream market.

We love re-using old pieces as they often carry stories, and continuing those stories into a new style or design is a beautiful way to honour your heirlooms.

“Remodelling old into new is one of the most special things you can do with sentimental jewellery. Breathing new life into meaningful pieces has a magical feeling about it”

All of our client’s sentimental diamonds & rubies were combined to create a unique Engagement & Wedding set in our Unity style.

  • 18ct gold & platinum Engagement ring

An update to our client’s engagement ring with the addition of two tapered baguette diamonds to compliment her emerald cut centre diamond. All re-set into a new platinum mount.

  • 18ct yellow gold & platinum Engagement ring

Our client used all of her own gemstones, including old mine cut diamonds & sapphires, to create a one-off stand alone Engagement/Wedding Ring, with platinum detail.
